truth telling....

Things I have come to believe as true...in no particular order...and by no means complete...
  • God is Sovereign.
  • His ways are higher than my ways.
  • He is able to hold all of my life in his gentle hands.
  • He is more trustworthy than my understanding of him.
  • God knows a way to work out all the mess for his glory.
    • Saying that doesn't clean up the mess.
  • Thanking God for all things is good medicine.
  • There is always something to be thankful for.
  • It’s important to be genuinely thankful for a thing….not to just be thankful that something worse didn't happen to you.  If you have broken one of your favorite things, don’t be thankful you didn't break the other one…be thankful you have the other one and be thankful that you had the broken one at all.  There is a difference.
  • God doesn't always work in a way that we understand, but he is always working.
  • Sometimes it is more important to rest than it is to work.
  • True worship more often happens in broken hearts than whole ones.
  • I need to slay the lies in my mind before they come out of my mouth, but sometimes I don’t recognize them until they do.
  • Fasting is feasting on manna.
  • God loves my children more than I do.
  • God is able to use my weakness to create strength in those I love.
  • I have a message worth hearing.
  • Courage is not the absence of fear.  It is what moves us on when fear is present.  If there were no fear, courage would be unnecessary.  Since it is Love that defeats fear…Courage must be confident reliance on Love.
  • God is Love.
  • Courage – confidence in Love – is what allows me to face another today.
  • God fills empty spaces.
  • Jesus sacrificed so much just to come to earth as a human.  And after that, he was despised, rejected, tortured, and killed.  Because He loved us that much.
  • So many people don’t think they need God.
  • Everyone needs God.
  • Creativity can be an expression of worship.
  • We are creative because we are made in God’s likeness.
  • Brave women don’t have to be masculine.  It’s not the same.
  • It takes a certain kind of courage to weep in church.  And it takes a brave church to embrace it.
  • Wounded ones must be free to weep in worship among people who love Jesus the Broken or they will find some other salve for their wounds.
  • God loves the broken.
  • God is for me; who can stand against me.
  • Just because God is for me does not mean He is for all that things I am for.
  • Because God is for me, he often lets me fail and fall, to teach me truth.
  • Satan desires to ruin us all.
  • God wins.
  • I don’t understand very much and I am okay with that.
